ACET uses its power in the industry to bring about changes that serve the professional, and business interests of its members in the field of consulting engineering in Tanzania. Some of the advocacy and lobbying work that ACET does include;
- Influence change in ERB registration regulations by making ACET membership mandatory
- Influence clients on the benefits of using services from ACET members
- Solicit for/ensure the engineers secure bridge design and construction projects
- Influence the Ministry of Works, PMO RALG, PPRA, and TANROADS to support ACET’S programs
