Through ACET, Consulting Engineers have a unified and assertive voice that communicates the value and importance of their work to the government, private sector, and the general public.

ACET is a professional association. As such its membership exhibit and demonstrate the highest level of professionalism in all their conduct of Engineering Business. To achieve this ACET regularly organize Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes, which is a legal requirement for all practising engineers.

In this view, CPD programmes do not target only consultants but also non-consultants profession including contractors, architects, quantity surveyors, legal professionals, quality assurance, procurement and project managers involved in implementation of infrastructure development projects

In such these CPD programmes cover a range of topics including 1999 FIDIC Contracts Management, Project Management, Procurement Planning and dispute resolution. All CPD programmes are accredited by the Engineers Registration Board, and participants receive CPD points (PDUs) on completion
